What is this program's purpose?
The Far Eastside of Indianapolis has a new resource for community members, business owners, and those who have a desire to work to effect change in this community. P30, located at the corner of Post Rd. and 30th St., is a coworking space celebrating the diversity of people and talents. A major part of our mission is to provide pathways for upward mobility and the ability to provide transformative resources, enrichment, and social networking to the Far Eastside of Indy.
One of the many ways we're able to carry out our mission of disrupting inequality, igniting hope, and launching prosperity is through our pilot program, Launch Business in a Box (LBNB). LBNB is the engine that supports the mission and vision of P30. We have created an ecosystem composed of business experts and community partners deeply committed to the success of program participants, complete with resources that are readily available and accessible. There will be ongoing educational and networking opportunities to further grow the businesses launched out of the program.
P30's vision through the LBNB program is to help take one's commitment to starting a business from idea to reality, accelerate growth, and provide equity by creating community wealth on the Far Eastside through the launch of 300 businesses that create 3,000 employment opportunities and produce $30 million of wealth over the next 10 years.
What does this mean for me?
An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses; often seen as a visionary or innovator.
Although members of P30 have access to workshops and classes offered by LBNB, anyone interested in being selected as a cohort participant are required to fill out an intake form available online. Applications are open seasonally and specifically serve those interested in being a part of the Program Cohort after due process and selection. LBNB will provide each chosen participant with a stipend to be used to launch and expand their business via website development, IT services, marketing materials, licensure, etc.
LBNB's Cohort Participants will have access to a Dedicated Mentor for one year, a Subject Matter Expert "SME" on an as needed basis, and Community Partners that will offer their services as well as discounts and support.
